Hand Embroidered Felt Holiday Ornaments
About
A two-hour beginner embroidery class in which you stitch names, initials, small icons or abstract patterns onto felt to make holiday ornaments, picking up a few basic stitches along the way. It is taught by Jessie Katz Greenberg at the Brainery, 190 Underhill Ave in Prospect Heights (Grand Army Plaza on the 2/3, or Clinton–Washington Aves on the C). Saturday 5 December, 11am to 1pm, $38. The same teacher runs Collage Greeting Cards in the same room that afternoon.

New to textiles?
Textile classes range from weaving on a frame or rigid-heddle loom to embroidery, knitting, crochet, natural dyeing, felting and sewing a first garment.
- Check whether the class is for complete beginners or assumes you can already cast on or thread a machine.
