The Three Sisters: from Garden to Bowl
About
A 30-minute cooking demonstration in which a Wave Hill Café chef turns corn, beans and squash into a warming fall soup, with a small tasting and the recipe to take home; it is part of Indigenous Peoples' Weekend and framed as the chef's own take rather than a traditional recipe. It takes place in Armor Hall at Wave Hill House, 4900 Independence Ave in Riverdale, reachable by the Metro-North Hudson line to Riverdale or the 1 train to 231st St plus the Bx7/Bx10 bus. Sessions run Sun Oct 11 and Mon Oct 12, 2026 at 2 pm, free with admission to the grounds. It is the only food-and-drink event in the Bronx on our calendar right now.
