Meet the Artists: Melanie Brewster and Noormah Jamal
About
Two back-to-back artist conversations: Melanie Brewster discusses her Sunroom exhibition with curator Rachel Raphaela Gugelberger, then Noormah Jamal talks about Blooms, her outdoor installation of ceramic flowering heads honouring Peshawar, and reads poetry with poet Sonya Posmentier. At Wave Hill, 4900 Independence Ave in Riverdale (Metro-North to Riverdale, or the 1 to 231 St then the Bx7 or Bx10). Sunday 18 October, 2–4 pm in Glyndor Gallery; free with grounds admission. Jamal's installation closes the same day, so this is the last chance to see it with the artist.
