Flying Paper Airplane Class
About
Flying Paper Airplane Class is a 1.5-hour workshop at KraftStories' Midtown studio where you fold a plane from a blank sheet of paper, decorate it, and then mount it on a dual-motor power module with a built-in gyroscope. You fly it with a handheld remote control. The kit shown on the page includes the power module, controller, battery, cable, tools and spare propellers, and you take your finished plane home the same day. All materials and tools are included, and an instructor guides each step. The page does not print a minimum age. Public sessions hold up to 12 people. The price is $99 per person. The studio is at 325 W 38th St #706, New York, NY 10018 (Garment District), a short walk from 42 St-Port Authority (A, C, E) and Times Sq-42 St (1, 2, 3, N, Q, R, W, S, 7). It has elevator access to the workshop floor and is wheelchair accessible. KraftStories is the studio that publishes this site. It is the only paper-airplane or remote-flying class on our NYC calendar, and the closest comparison is the studio's own Intro to 3D Printing, another technical hands-on session. It suits a curious adult, a parent with an older child or a team that wants something more engineering-minded than a painting or candle class.
