Make Your Mark: Printing a Flexagon Book a to Z
About
A single online session from the Center for Book Arts on printing and folding a flexagon book, the folded paper structure that flexes to reveal new faces. It takes place Wednesday, November 18, 1 to 4pm Eastern, with tuition printed as Pay What You Can. Being online there is no travel; the Center's studios are at 28 W 27th St, 3rd floor, near the 28 St station (R, W). It is one of two pay-what-you-can online classes the Center has on our calendar this season, alongside Zines, Zines, Zines! on December 7.

New to printmaking?
Printmaking classes cover ways of making an image you can print more than once: carving lino or wood blocks, screen printing, monotypes, etching or letterpress.
- Block printing and monotype are the friendliest starts; etching and letterpress need more studio time.
- Inks stain. Wear old clothes and expect to wash up at the end.
- You usually leave with an edition of several prints, not just one.
Taking it home: Usually the same day, once the ink is dry enough to carry. Oil-based prints may need a few days.
