Collagraph Workshop: Exploring Texture & Translation // October

About

Collagraph Workshop: Exploring Texture & Translation is a two-evening printmaking workshop at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, run by the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts in Manhattan's Garment District. Collagraph is a printmaking method in which you build a plate from textured materials and then ink and print it. Cecilia Caldiera teaches. The workshop page gives little detail beyond the title, so ask the workshop what you will make and whether it suits beginners. It meets in person on Tuesdays 13 and 20 October 2026, from 6pm to 9pm. The price includes materials and 6 hours of free studio time, which expires one month after the final class. The online processing fee is extra. The page states no level, minimum age or capacity. Pricing is $230 for members and $280 for non-members. The workshop is at 323 West 39th Street, New York, NY 10018, a few minutes from Port Authority (A, C, E) and 34th St-Penn Station (1, 2, 3). For comparison on this calendar, Blackburn's Discover Your Collagraph runs on 30 January 2027 at $290 for members and $340 for non-members.
