Late-night Summer Wednesdays
About
Late-Night Wednesdays at the Museum of the City of New York keep the museum open until 9 pm with free admission. From 5 to 9 pm a pop-up bar serves signature cocktails, soft drinks and snacks, and the museum's current exhibitions are open to explore, among them He Built This City, which the museum's page says runs through October 12, 2026. The page for the September 2 evening says the late Wednesdays run through the end of the year without naming a final date, so check mcny.org for the current schedule. It says the museum is open every day but does not print general hours. No minimum age is printed. Cost: free on Wednesdays. Admission on other days is not stated on that page, so check the museum's Visit page. The museum is at 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street in East Harlem. Take the 6 to 103rd St, then walk two blocks west. The Museum of the City of New York has four listings on our calendar, including MCNY Kids Art Studio on Saturdays, Tiny Tours for three- to five-year-olds, and the Spooky City Halloween day on October 31. For another late-opening free evening, MoMA's UNIQLO Friday Nights are free for New York State residents with a reservation.
