Free Admission Every Friday
About
Poster House, the poster museum in Chelsea, offers free admission every Friday. Friday is also its late night: the museum is open from 10 am to 9 pm, with final entry 30 minutes before closing. The free day is weekly, not limited to the first Friday of the month, and it makes a good after-work visit. On other days the museum is open Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, and closed Monday to Wednesday. Standard admission as printed: adults $15; students and educators, veterans and seniors 65 and over $10; visitors with disabilities $10, including free entry for one care partner; kids under 18 and members free. Library card holders pay $10, and several organisation discounts are applied at the Info Desk. Walk-in groups of 15 or more and self-guided tour groups cannot be accommodated, so keep your party small. The museum is at 119 West 23rd Street, New York, NY 10011. The 23rd St station (F/M/1/PATH) is at the door. Poster House also waives admission on the third Sunday of every month, ten to six, which is listed separately on our calendar. For another free Friday evening, MoMA's UNIQLO Friday Nights are free for New York State residents with a reservation.
