Tiny Tours
About
Tiny Tours at the Museum of the City of New York is a 45-minute tour designed for children aged three to five and their caregivers. It uses sensory exploration, close looking and imaginative play, drawing on art, objects and stories from the city, to encourage curiosity, observation, creativity and conversation. Caregivers are invited to explore alongside the children; the page does not say whether adults need their own ticket. Tours run on the third Wednesday and first Saturday of each month, starting at 11:00 am and finishing at 11:45. The date on the page was Wednesday, September 16, 2026, which it marks as passed, so check mcny.org for the next one. Admission is included with the museum ticket. Children, and neighbours living in zip codes 10029, 10035 and 10037, are always free. Pay-what-you-can admission is offered only at ticket counters; buying online means paying full admission. Admission rates are on the museum's Visit page, and the page does not say whether advance booking is required. The museum is at 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street in East Harlem. Take the 6 to 103rd St and walk two blocks west. For slightly older children at the same venue, MCNY Kids Art Studio offers drop-in art making on Saturdays from 11 am to 2 pm, and the Spooky City Halloween day follows on October 31.
