Featuring work by: Erin Butler, Linda Butti, Mary Campbell, Lisa Dahl, Griselda Healy, Craig Manister, Ann Marie McDonnell, Mike Shane, Gayle Tanaka, Martha Trivizas. Celebrating Snug Harbor’s longstanding studio program, where artists in residence create new work within its historic buildings, PROXIMITY explores the studio as a generative space: artists working near one another across space, time, and relationship. Spanning painting, photography, and mixed media, PROXIMITY is not defined by a shared aesthetic, but by a condition of closeness. Here, proximity becomes more than a matter of place—it becomes a context through which individual practices develop, intersect, and inform one another.
