Bryant Park Tours
About
Bryant Park Tours is a free guided walk through one of Midtown Manhattan's best-known public spaces, led by park staff every Monday at 11am, year-round and weather permitting. The tour lasts about 45 minutes and covers the park's history, its design, its amenities and how it is maintained, including how the Bryant Park Corporation turned a park once troubled by crime and drug problems into what it calls Manhattan's Town Square. Meet at the Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountain, near 41st Street and Sixth Avenue. Tours depart promptly at 11am, so arrive a few minutes early. The park's page describes the tours as free and asks you to register through Eventbrite. An older Eventbrite listing for the same tour mentions a cap of 10 participants and asks groups larger than six to contact the organizers, so register ahead rather than just turning up. Parties of six or more can book a private tour instead, at least two weeks ahead by email, generally for a low fee. Neither page states a minimum age or any accessibility details. Bryant Park lies between 40th and 42nd Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues. The 42nd St–Bryant Park station (B, D, F, M and 7 trains) surfaces inside the park. Dates on the park's page run from October 12, 2026 to January 4, 2027. For something less structured in the same park, the free Games area on the south side runs most days.
