About

Games at Bryant Park is a free, drop-in play area on the south side of the park, at the 40th Street Plaza near Le Carrousel in Midtown Manhattan. The park provides the equipment, so you can pick up dice games, Connect Four or a full board game without bringing anything. The park's page also describes board game socials on several days each week, with titles such as Settlers of Catan and Blood on the Clocktower, and a Games Host on site who can answer questions. All ages are welcome and nobody needs to book; the page simply says to show up. It prints no hours for the daily play. Our listing records the weekly rhythm as Tuesday to Saturday, with sessions at 5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 3pm on Thursday and 1pm on Saturday, so confirm the day's hours at the park or on bryantpark.org before you go. Private parties are booked separately through a form on the park's website. Price: free to play. Bryant Park sits between 40th and 42nd Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues, behind the main New York Public Library building. The 42nd St–Bryant Park station (B, D, F, M and 7 trains) surfaces inside the park. Bryant Park has 17 current listings on this calendar, including the free Monday Bryant Park Tours and a recurring Birding Tours listing, so a games session fits easily into a wider day in Midtown.
