Fall Birding

About

Naturalist Gabriel Willow leads a morning walk through Wave Hill's gardens and woods looking for resident birds and the migrants moving down the Hudson in autumn, at a slow-to-moderate pace on paths with some climbs; a few walking sticks can be borrowed. It meets at the Perkins Visitor Center on Sunday 8 November, 9:30–11am, at 4900 Independence Ave in Riverdale (Metro-North to Riverdale and the free shuttle, or the 1 to 242 St and the Bx7). Tickets are $20 including grounds admission, with 10% off for members; advance registration is encouraged. Wave Hill's Raptors family art project runs later the same morning.
