Walking Tour: a History of Brooklyn's Water Supply
About
A two-hour walk on how Brooklyn, once its own city, drew water from the east — through Queens and Nassau as far as Massapequa — rather than from upstate like Manhattan. Organised by the Brainery (190 Underhill Ave, Prospect Heights; Grand Army Plaza, 2/3), with the meeting point on the booking page. $25, Sunday 11 October, 1–3pm. It is the second outing for this tour this autumn and still the only history walk on our calendar.
