A Closer Look: the Mysteries of a 17th-century Carved Limewood Panel

About

Curator David Oakey and conservator Linda Lin present what they've learned about the Grinling Gibbons limewood carving FAMSF acquired in 2024, one of only three Gibbons works in American museums, in the Gunn Theater at the Legion of Honor, 100 34th Ave in Lincoln Park (18 46th Avenue bus, or the 38 Geary plus a walk). It starts at 1 pm on Saturday, Nov 14; a free program with unassigned, first-come seating. On a Saturday it pairs with free Bay Area resident entry and the 4 pm organ concert, both on our calendar.
