About
A two- to three-hour introduction to stained glass with instructor Michela in a small glass workshop at Via Corsini 9, near the Botanical Garden in Trastevere. Sessions run Monday to Saturday at 10:30 am or 3 pm, taught in Italian, English or French. €80 per person (€30 online, €50 on the day).

Glass classes split into fused glass (cutting and layering sheet glass that is melted in a kiln), stained glass (cut pieces joined with copper foil and solder) and hot glass (blowing or flameworking at a furnace or torch).
- Closed-toe shoes and natural-fibre clothing for hot-glass sessions; studios provide eye protection.
- Fused and stained glass suit a first visit. Glassblowing tasters are short and guided closely.
- Hot-glass classes are small and sell out first, especially before holidays.
Taking it home: Rarely on the day. Fused pieces go back in the kiln and blown glass cools overnight, so expect to collect it later or have it shipped.
