Elvi Ratti: Aurea
About
Jewellery, bronze sculptures and design sketches by Elvi Ratti from the 1940s to today, placed throughout the rooms of the Casa Museo Boncompagni Ludovisi so they converse with its decorative-arts collection; the sketches show how a drawing becomes a finished jewel. Via Boncompagni 18, near Via Veneto, until 10 January 2027, Tuesday–Sunday 9 AM–7:30 PM (last entry 6:30 PM), closed Mondays and 25 December. Included in museum admission, €6 / €2 for EU citizens aged 18–25; advance booking required.

New to jewelry?
Jewelry classes teach you to saw, file, solder and polish metal into a ring, pendant or earrings, or to work with beads, wire and chain.
- Ring-making is the classic first class; you often leave with a finished silver band.
- Tie back long hair and wear closed-toe shoes at the bench, since torches are involved.
- Silver and gold may be priced on top of the class fee; the listing says when.
Taking it home: Usually the same day, polished and ready to wear.
