A beginner-friendly three-to-four-hour workshop in the copper-foil method: you sketch a simple design of up to eight pieces, then cut, grind, foil and solder it into a roughly 8-by-10-inch suncatcher. Craftsman Ave is at 68 34th St, Building 6 in Industry City, Sunset Park, by the D, N and R trains at 36th St. Sessions are booked by date through the studio's calendar; the price starts at $265 per person. Our calendar lists 37 approved upcoming glass sessions citywide but no other hands-on classes in South Brooklyn right now.
