Signature Terrarium Making
About
Signature Terrarium Making is a 1.5-hour workshop at KraftStories' Midtown studio where you build a self-sustaining terrarium with layered soil, live plants and moss in a glass container, and take it home the same day. A Wardian case option is also offered. All materials and tools are included, plus light snacks, and an instructor guides each step. The studio lists it for ages 6 and up. Pricing depends on the vessel: a Mini Terrarium is $69, a Medium Glass Jar $89, a Large Jar $99 and a Wardian Case $129. Public workshops run from 2 to 27 people. The studio is at 325 W 38th St #706, New York, NY 10018 (Garment District), a short walk from 42 St-Port Authority (A, C, E) and Times Sq-42 St (1, 2, 3, N, Q, R, W, S, 7). It has elevator access to the workshop floor and is wheelchair accessible. KraftStories is the studio that publishes this site. Terrarium building is a small category on our NYC calendar, and every terrarium listing we carry comes from KraftStories. Within this studio the Succulent Terrarium Workshop is a shorter one-hour session at $79, and the Sip and Plant Workshop adds drinks for adults at $149, so this is the one to pick for a longer, more flexible planting session or a family with children.
