One Day Neon Workshop
About
A five-hour introduction to neon tube making in which you learn the parts of a neon unit, the bending tools and how to bend your own custom piece in a color you choose, with demonstrations of filling, bombarding, wiring and mounting; no experience required. Brooklyn Glass is at 142 13th Street in Gowanus, a few blocks from the F, G and R trains at 4th Av–9th St. Offered on select Saturdays, 10 AM to 3 PM, with specific dates in the booking calendar; $365 plus a booking fee, including glass, bending materials, a power supply and wiring. Only two neon classes on our calendar are held anywhere other than UrbanGlass, and this is one of them.
