Zen Moss Wall Art Workshop is a one-hour session at KraftStories' Midtown studio where you assemble preserved moss into a framed wall panel, typically around 10 by 10 inches in a wood frame, and take it home the same day. No experience is needed, all materials and tools are provided, and an instructor guides each step. The studio lists it for ages 8 and up with an adult. Public sessions run from 5 to 30 people. The price is $99 per person. The studio is at 325 W 38th St #706, New York, NY 10018 (Garment District), a short walk from 42 St-Port Authority (A, C, E) and Times Sq-42 St (1, 2, 3, N, Q, R, W, S, 7). It has elevator access to the workshop floor and is wheelchair accessible. KraftStories is the studio that publishes this site. On our calendar, moss art is offered only by KraftStories: this class, the Financial District version of the same name (1.5 hours, also $99) and the Neon & Moss Wall Art workshop ($129) there, which adds an LED neon sign. This is the shortest of the three, which makes it the easiest to fit around a work day in Midtown.
