Color and Light: Impressionist Painting
About
An eight-week daytime painting class in oils or acrylics that approaches color theory and application the way the Impressionists did, mixing complementaries instead of reaching for browns and blacks, with landscape, still life and photo-based work in turn. Classes meet at Art Lab inside the Snug Harbor Cultural Center, 1000 Richmond Terrace, a short S40 bus ride from the St. George ferry terminal. Thursdays 10:30 AM to 1 PM, Fall 26 term from September 24 with no class on November 12; $292.00 including the $20 registration fee. Of the 12 approved upcoming painting listings on our calendar, this is one of only two on Staten Island.
