Bowl Turning for Beginners
About
Turn your first wooden bowl on the lathe, from mounting a rough blank through shaping to the finish. Three Wednesdays, 14, 21 and 28 October, 7–10pm, at Makeville's Gowanus woodshop, 119 8th St, a short walk from 4 Av–9 St (F, G, R). $470 tuition plus an $80 materials and equipment fee. It is the only lathe bowl class we list; Craftsman Ave's bowl workshop carves by hand.
