Team River Volunteers
About
Team RIVER is the weekly volunteer morning on Randall's Island, where you help look after the park's green spaces. The Randall's Island events page describes volunteers working with the Natural Areas team to restore and maintain natural spaces, and with the Horticulture team on gardens, green streets and meadows. Expect practical outdoor work, with the exact jobs depending on the week. Sessions run on Wednesdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm, three hours in all. The events page lists Wednesday 14, 21 and 28 October 2026. Meet at the east entrance of Icahn Stadium. Our listing records the programme as free, registration required, for ages eleven and over. The page does not print what is provided or what to bring, so check your registration confirmation, and dress for weather and dirt. Randall's Island Park is at 20 Randall's Island Park, New York, NY 10035. You can walk over the 103rd Street pedestrian bridge from Manhattan, or take the M35 bus from 125th Street. If you want more time outdoors on the island, Food Demos on the Urban Farm run on Saturday 17 October at 11am, and the Halloween Boo Bash follows on Saturday 24 October at noon.
