Turkish Coffee on Hot Sand is a 45-minute experience at KraftStories' Financial District studio where you brew Turkish coffee in a small pot over heated sand, pour it and drink the cup you made. The session also covers the serving traditions and etiquette that go with it. The studio describes it as suitable for older guests because everyone is seated, and it lists the experience as great for families, though it does not print a minimum age. Public sessions hold up to 24 people. The price is $89 per person. The studio is at 93 Pearl St, 4th floor, New York, NY 10004, near Wall St (2, 3), Bowling Green (4, 5) and Broad St (J, Z). It is stairs-only with no elevator; the Midtown studio is the step-free option. KraftStories is the studio that publishes this site. It is the only coffee class on our NYC calendar, and at 45 minutes it is one of the shortest KraftStories experiences we list, which makes it a good fit for a short break, a pre-dinner plan downtown or a different kind of group activity. In-person public bookings can be cancelled for a refund up to two days before the session.
