Salsa Social is a free weekly Latin dance night in Garibaldi Plaza, part of Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village. It is run with the dance group Mi Salsa Dura Baile, and each session begins with a free lesson before the plaza turns into an open dance floor. The listing says no partner is needed, so you can arrive on your own, pick up the basic steps and then dance with whoever is around. It takes place on Wednesdays.
