Dog Costume Contest and Parade
About
The fifth annual costumed-dog event at the Sunday flea market: a pet parade steps off at 11:30am, followed at noon by a costume contest staged as a runway show, with DJ sets and typewriter poetry elsewhere in the market that afternoon. It happens Sunday, Oct 25 at the Melrose Trading Post, 7850 Melrose Ave at Fairfax High School, a short walk from Metro bus 217 on Fairfax Ave. Entry is with a market ticket, which the site sells online without printing a price; kids 12 and under are free with an adult. The market itself runs every Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
