Bark: Read to a Dog
About
Kids 6 to 11 practice reading aloud to a friendly, trained BARK dog, a low-pressure way to build fluency and confidence. Sessions run 4 to 5 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month (Nov 3 and Dec 1 are on the calendar) in the Stahr Storytime Room at Newport Beach Central Library, 1000 Avocado Ave, a short walk from the OCTA Newport Transportation Center. There is no registration: sign-ups are first come, first served once the dogs arrive, no price is listed, and children need an adult with them.
