Turtle beaches

Beaches where honu come up to rest. Watch from 10 feet away.

Green sea turtles (honu) are protected in Hawaiʻi and often haul out on North Shore beaches to rest. They are used to people, but they need space.

Give them at least 10 feet, never touch or feed them, and don’t block their way back to the water.
