Snorkel spots

Where to put your face in the water, and when.

Snorkelling on Oʻahu depends on the season. The south shore, including Hanauma Bay and Waikīkī, is calm most of the year. The North Shore is superb from May to September and dangerous in winter.

Pick the spot by the season and the swell, and ask the lifeguard.
