Portraits of Dogs (oct)

About

Portraits of Dogs (Oct) is a one-day watercolor workshop at Fishcake in Honolulu, taught by Kyle Nakahara. You paint an expressive dog portrait while building foundational watercolor skills, reviewing values, doing color-mixing exercises, and exploring techniques for soft fur, glowing color, and depth. You may bring your own dog reference photos, including dogs in costumes, but live models are not allowed. All materials are included, and all levels are welcome. The class is on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 6:00 PM. The page calls it a one-day workshop and does not print the hours. Participants must be 18 or older. The price is $50, with no tiers listed. All sales are final, refunds are given only if the teacher cancels for an emergency or low enrollment, and you can gift your spot by emailing info@fishcake.us. When checked, the page showed 4 spots left. Fishcake is at 307C Kamani Street, Honolulu 96813. Parking and transit are not stated on the page. For more watercolor, the Honolulu Museum of Art School lists a Watercolor class on October 15 on this calendar. Fishcake has nerikomi the next day, October 24.
