Island Pulse
About
Island Pulse is Capitol Modern's free third-Friday evening of island roots and reggae music, held at the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum's contemporary-art venue in Downtown Honolulu. This is the November 20 edition. Galleries stay open in the evening, and the Art + Flea urban market adds local artists and food and beverage vendors. The event page lists 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm, free admission, and an all-ages crowd. No performers are named and the event schedule is marked as still to be updated, so check the museum's page for the lineup. Capitol Modern's regular hours are 10 am to 4 pm Wednesday through Saturday, so the Friday evening opening is a good time to see the galleries. You will find it at 250 South Hotel Street, Honolulu 96813, with the directions link pointing to the second floor. The page does not state parking or bus details. Other things on November 20 on this calendar include Lucy Darling at the Hawaii Theatre and How the Grinch Stole Christmas opening at Diamond Head Theatre. Island Pulse comes back on December 18, and First Friday follows on December 4.
