Presidio Forest Stewards
About
Volunteers tend young trees in the Presidio's reforestation areas, planting, weeding and mulching while picking up urban-forestry and arboriculture basics from staff. Fridays 9 am–noon in the Presidio (meeting point emailed on registration), free; under-18s need a signed Presidio Trust consent form; the free PresidiGo shuttle runs from downtown and the Presidio Transit Center. It pairs well with the Saturday Habitat Stewards if you want to see both the forest and native-habitat sides of the park.
