Diwali and Día De Los Muertos in the Parks: Planting as Remembrance
About
Volunteers help care for the native tidal marsh at Quartermaster Reach, where fresh and salt water meet, with a short talk on planting as an act of remembrance at 10:45 AM followed by open planting time; it is part of a wider Diwali and Día de los Muertos celebration at the Crissy Field Center. It runs Saturday, November 7, 10:30 AM–12:30 PM, in the Presidio of San Francisco (exact meeting point emailed on registration); the free PresidiGo shuttle runs from downtown and the Presidio Transit Center. The Conservancy doesn't publish a price on the listing, registration is required, and it is open to all ages, with under-15s accompanied by an adult. Unlike the Conservancy's weekly Presidio Habitat Stewards shifts on our calendar, this is a one-off, family-friendly cultural planting day.
