A leisurely, family-friendly 3-mile docent hike around Horseshoe Lake on the Horseshoe Loop and Fir Knoll trails, looking at how people have moved through and used the landscape and passing wetland, grassland, oak woodland and mixed evergreen forest in a short distance. It runs Wednesday, December 16, 2–5 PM, from the Skyline Ridge Circle Parking Area on Skyline Boulevard (drive/park). Midpen doesn't publish a price on the listing. It is the shortest of the Skyline Ridge outings on our calendar this season.
