A moderately paced 4-mile loop on the Ancient Oaks, Ridge and Charquin trails through oak woodland and grassland, ending with a snack on top of Borel Hill as the sun sets and the full moon rises. Monday Oct 26, 4–7 pm from the Russian Ridge parking area at Skyline Blvd and Page Mill/Alpine Rd (drive/park; about 40 minutes from I-280). Registration closes Oct 23 and the organiser doesn't publish a price; Borel Hill is the highest named point in San Mateo County, so the 360° view is the draw.
