Free Saturdays at the De Young
About
Every Saturday, residents of the nine Bay Area counties get free general admission to the de Young's permanent collection, with family tours at 10:30 a.m. and family art making and sketching in the galleries on select Saturdays. The museum is open 9:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m. at 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr in Golden Gate Park, near the N Judah (9th Ave & Irving) and the 5 Fulton. Free with proof of residency (driver's license or postmarked mail); special exhibitions such as Treasures of the Pharaohs still need a paid ticket, and advance reservations are recommended. Free Saturdays pause during the Bouquets to Art fundraiser week.
