About
SFMOMA's Halloween Saturday brings a costume contest hosted by drag king Luismi Monstruo Rude (1:30 p.m., Phyllis Wattis Theater), Halloween art making with SCRAP, and Facing West Shadows' puppet-and-shadow take on Lysistrata. It runs 11 a.m.–4 p.m. at 151 Third St near Montgomery St BART. Activities are free with museum admission, and costume-contest sign-up opens at 12:30 p.m. outside the theater, first come first served. It makes a daytime, all-ages alternative to the Castro and SoMa Halloween parties that evening.
