Solstice Bells

At the moment of the winter solstice, the carillon plays a piece written for the occasion by Darren Zhu while people gather on the plaza beside Grace Cathedral, 1100 California St on Nob Hill (California St cable car or the 1 California bus) to ring bells they bring, part of a worldwide Solstice Bells event. It runs 12:50–1:20 pm on Monday, Dec 21 and is free. At half an hour long, it fits easily into a lunch break.
