Visual Storytelling: Mixed Media Exploration
About
A six-week studio course for adults 60 and over that takes its cue from the mixed-media work in two of the Frye's fall exhibitions, digging into layering, texture and material experiments with a teaching artist, a guest visit from artist Brenda Mallory and an informal showcase at the end; no art experience is needed and materials are supplied. Wednesdays October 28 through December 9 (no class November 25), 10 am–12 pm, at the Frye Art Museum, 704 Terry Ave on First Hill, reachable by the First Hill Streetcar (Broadway & Terrace) or Metro routes 3/4 on James St. $300 general admission or $240 community access; the series is sold out, but the museum keeps a waitlist via creativeaging@fryemuseum.org.
