Holiday Studio Social
About
A seasonal get-together for the studio's students, members and friends, with food and drinks and the chance to knit a holiday ornament on one of the studio's machines using patterns and help on hand. It runs 1–4pm Saturday at The Seattle Knitting Lab, 2208 NW Market St #311 in Ballard, on the RapidRide D Line and route 44. The listing does not publish a price. The studio's beginner Cowl Class follows the next morning.

New to textiles?
Textile classes range from weaving on a frame or rigid-heddle loom to embroidery, knitting, crochet, natural dyeing, felting and sewing a first garment.
- Check whether the class is for complete beginners or assumes you can already cast on or thread a machine.
- Single sessions usually make something small: a wall hanging, a hoop, a dyed scarf.
- Bring reading glasses if you use them; most fibre work is close-up.
Taking it home: Usually the same day. Larger pieces may be finished at home with the yarn or thread you leave with.
