Picasso's Mermaid
About
Janusz Zaorski's 95-minute Seattle Polish Film Festival selection follows a young Warsaw woman who finds a sketch on her apartment wall that turns out to be by Picasso from his 1948 visit, a discovery that unsettles both her life and that of an elderly neighbor, a retired journalist who remembers the visit. It screens at 5:45pm Saturday at SIFF Cinema Uptown, 511 Queen Anne Ave N (RapidRide D Line; Metro routes 1, 2, 8 and 13). Prices appear after choosing the showtime; SIFF passes and vouchers are not valid.
