Free First Sunday at the Capitoline Museums

About

Rome's civic museums are free for everyone, not only residents, on the first Sunday of the month (1 November and 6 December 2026), and that includes the Capitoline Museums on Piazza del Campidoglio. Open daily 9:30 AM–7:30 PM, last entry one hour before closing. Some ticketed exhibitions can be excluded from the free day (in recent months the city named the exceptions in a press release a few days before), so the Diego Rivera show may still require a ticket.
