The Ara Pacis Museum on Lungotevere in Augusta, built around Augustus's Altar of Peace, takes part in the civic museums' free first Sunday for everyone (1 November and 6 December 2026). Open 9:30 AM–7:30 PM, last entry one hour before closing. The new Fayum portraits exhibition is separately ticketed and may be excluded from the free entry.
