Nero's Golden House, buried under the Colle Oppio park beside the Colosseum, opens Friday to Sunday for timed visits that set off every 15 minutes from 9 AM, entered from Via della Domus Aurea. The €26 ticket includes the educational route and a virtual-reality reconstruction; a cheaper €18 ticket covers the unguided 12 noon slot, and EU citizens aged 18–24 pay €2. It's about 10°C inside, so bring a layer and comfortable shoes. Book on the Colosseum's ticketing site.
