On Improvisation: Keynote Conversation and D'improvviso Concert
About
The closing evening of the American Academy in Rome's improvisation conference moves to the Teatro Studio Gianni Borgna at the Auditorium Parco della Musica (Viale Pietro de Coubertin 30, Flaminio). George E. Lewis moderates a keynote conversation with Miya Masaoka, Tomeka Reid, Alvin Curran, Giancarlo Schiaffini and Alessandro Sbordoni, in English and Italian with on-screen AI translation, followed by D'Improvviso, the first joint concert of members of Nuova Consonanza and International Contemporary Ensemble with guest players. The concert is ticketed; the venue doesn't publish a price on this listing.
