The second afternoon of the American Academy in Rome's conference on improvised music, at Villa Aurelia (Largo di Porta San Pancrazio 1) on the Janiculum: a 'Sonic Architecture' panel on sound, art and urban planning (3 PM), members of International Contemporary Ensemble and Nuova Consonanza on how they work (4:30 PM), a second philosophy and musicology panel (6 PM) and the improvised concert Suono e Spazio by International Contemporary Ensemble (7:30 PM). Free and open to the public. The 3 PM and 6 PM panels are in English and the 4:30 PM session in Italian and English, all with on-screen AI translation. Bring photo ID: the Academy checks it at the door and has no lockers for large bags.
