A volunteer trail-maintenance day with the Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council, working on the Chamberlain Trail in Point Mugu State Park. Volunteers meet at the dirt parking area where Wendy Dr meets Potrero Rd in Newbury Park and shuttle into the park together, so arrive on time. Work runs from 8am to 2pm on Saturday, Nov 21; bring work gloves, long sleeves and pants, a hat, sturdy closed-toe shoes, lunch and at least two quarts of water, and expect to sign a liability waiver at the trailhead. RSVP by calling the day's leader listed on the SMMTC schedule; the schedule lists no fee. The crew also works this trail on Nov 18.
