A beginner lathe class in which you drill, turn, sand and finish a roughly six-inch wooden handle, then fit it to a bottle opener, ice cream scoop or pizza cutter kit. It is held in the classroom at Rockler Woodworking and Hardware, 1955 N Tustin St in Orange; ages 14 and up, four students at most. Rockler does not publish a class price on the listing, and the hardware kit is bought separately in store ($10.99–$29.99).
