A 2.5-hour cruise past the Dana Point Harbor jetty aboard the Ocean Institute's 65-foot research vessel R/V Sea Explorer, looking for whales, dolphins, sunfish, seals and sea lions with naturalists on board; guests may also sort seafloor mud samples and look at plankton under a microscope. Boarding is at the Ocean Institute, 24200 Dana Point Harbor Dr, Dana Point, and tickets include general admission. Adults and children are $40 and infants/toddlers (0-18 months) $10. The tour also runs November 7 and 14 on our calendar.
